The Line Drive

Everything we get asked about the facility, the member training tools, and the free Houston Baseball Registry. Don't see your question? Ask Eldie — the red chat button in the corner of every page — or send us a note.

The Facility

What we're building in Houston's East End.

What is The Line Drive?
The Line Drive is a 12,000 square foot indoor baseball and softball training facility coming to Houston's East End at 1475 Earnestine St, Houston, TX 77023. It combines pro-grade training with a comfortable space for the parents who are waiting.
Are you open yet?
Not yet — we're in build-out. The site says Coming Soon because that's the truth. The fastest way to hear the day we open is to join the Houston Baseball Registry — it's free, and registered families get told first.
What's inside?
A 70-foot turf infield, four batting cages, and the Coach's Corner — a fifth cage that doubles as a chill zone with tables, food, and games. Plus swing analytics for data-driven hitting, pro coaching, retail, and a café with high-end coffee, snacks, fast WiFi, and beer and wine for the grown-ups.
Where exactly are you located?
The facility is at 1475 Earnestine St, Houston, TX 77023, in Houston's East End.
What can I use the space for?
Team practices, individual and small-group lessons, cage time, coaching clinics, homeschool PE, tournaments, and private events. It's fully indoors and air-conditioned, so Houston heat and rain don't cancel your session.
Is it just for baseball?
No — softball players train here too, and the cages, infield, and analytics work the same for both.
What ages do you serve?
Youth through high school players, plus their teams and coaches. Coaching clinics are aimed at youth coaches who want to teach the game better.
What is the Coach's Corner?
It's our fifth cage, and it does double duty. It's a real cage you can hit in, and it's also the chill zone — tables, food, and games — so a team can rotate through reps and then sit down together, and younger siblings have somewhere to be that isn't the parking lot.
Is there somewhere for parents to sit?
Yes — that's a deliberate part of the design, not an afterthought. Comfortable seating, high-end coffee, snacks, fast WiFi, and beer and wine, so the wait is actually pleasant. Kids swing, parents chill.
How much does it cost? What are your hours?
Pricing, membership tiers, and hours aren't announced yet — we'd rather say that than guess. Register free or contact us and you'll get the details the moment they're set.
Can I book the facility for my team or an event?
Yes, once we open — and we're already taking interest now. Send a note through the contact form with your team, age group, and what you need.
Who runs The Line Drive?
The Line Drive is operated by Luwigi, LLC. It's a family-run, faith-centered business — read the full mission and vision on our About page.

Member Tools

The training tools that come with being part of The Line Drive.

What are the member tools?
Four are live today — see them all on the Member Tools page: Situational Baseball, the Diamond IQ Challenge, the Tournament Finder, and Rule Lookup.
What is Situational Baseball?
A trainer that puts you in a real game situation — your position, the outs, the runners — and asks where the ball goes. You pick, then the field animates the whole play so you see every player's job. Browse the situations.
What is the Diamond IQ Challenge?
A timed ten-play quiz scored on accuracy and speed, with a leaderboard. Take the challenge.
What is Rule Lookup?
A rules assistant built for the dugout — tap the mic, ask out loud, hear the ruling. Open Rule Lookup.
What is the Tournament Finder?
A search tool for upcoming youth tournaments in the area. Find a tournament.
Do the member tools cost anything?
No. Right now they're free to anyone with a Houston Baseball Registry listing. Register a player, coach, or team and the tools unlock.
How do I get access?
Register on the Houston Baseball Registry, then go to /members/unlock and enter the same email you registered with. No password to remember.
I entered my email and it says it can't find me.
That almost always means the email doesn't match a registry listing — a typo, or a different address than the one you registered with. Try the other email you use, or register (it takes about a minute). If it still won't budge, email coachc@thelinedrive.com and we'll sort it out.
Do the tools work on a phone?
Yes. They're built mobile-first and tested on iPhone — the trainer, the quiz, and the voice rules lookup all work from the stands or the dugout.

Houston Baseball Registry

The free community directory for Houston baseball.

What is the Houston Baseball Registry?
A free directory connecting Houston baseball — players, coaches, and teams. See the registry.
Is it really free?
Yes. Free to register, free to browse, and you don't have to be a Line Drive member or customer. It's a community resource.
Who can register?
Players (registered by a parent or guardian), coaches, and teams or clubs. Pick which one you are on the registry page and fill out the short form.
What do I get out of registering?
Your listing is visible to Houston coaches and teams, you can see posted tryouts, and registering unlocks the member training tools. Registered families also hear facility news first.
How do teams post a tryout?
Register your team, then post a tryout from your manage link. It appears on the public tryouts page.
How do I edit or remove my listing?
Every listing has a private manage link sent to the email you registered with — use it to update your details or unsubscribe. Can't find the email? Write to coachc@thelinedrive.com and we'll re-send it or remove you.
What do you do with my information?
We use it to run the registry and to contact you about things you opted into, and we don't sell your personal information. Full details on our Privacy Policy.
Will you text me?
Only if you check the consent box, and you can reply STOP to any message to end it. See our Privacy Policy for the details.
